Learn More About Yacoub
Yacoub Shomali is a Jordanian economist and a consultant at the Boston Consulting Group in Dubai, UAE. Yacoub is an MPA/ID Candidate at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University where he was awarded with the Kennedy Fellowship for outstanding academic achievement and professional promise. Yacoub previously worked at the International Labour Organization where he conducted research and consulting work to advise on ILO's Strategy in the Arab States. Furthermore, Yacoub provided analytical support to ILO's response to the Syrian Refugee Crisis in Lebanon. Prior to the ILO, Yacoub's professional experience lied in economic research and advocacy work chiefly as the Director of Research and Policy at the Jordan Strategy Forum. in fields ranging from public finance, investment policy, to gender economics.

In 2013, Yacoub obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Macalester College with majors in Economics and Mathematics where he served as the president of the Middle Eastern Student Association and the Economics Honor Society. At Macalester, Yacoub was awarded with the Kofi Annan and Shelby Davis scholarships.
